Deon Gates

Deon Gates has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Deon is currently working at C Spire as the Chief People Officer, a role they started in January 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions within the company, including Director of Total Rewards & HRIS, Senior Manager of Total Rewards & HRIS, HRIS Manager, Talent Acquisition Manager, Senior Technical Recruiter, Technical Recruiter, Director of Applications Development, Manager of Corporate Applications, and Systems Analyst. Before joining C Spire, Deon worked at Hancock Bank as a Business Systems Analyst from 2002 to 2005. Their career started in 1996 with various roles as a Software Developer and Lead Developer.

Deon Gates earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Southern Mississippi from 1994 to 1996.
