Myat Lin has a decade of work experience in the biosciences. From 2022 to present, they have been a Strain Engineering Scientist at C16 Biosciences. From 2011 to 2022, they were a Research Associate at Cornell University, where they optimized and executed enzymatic reaction assays with radiolabeled chemicals and chromatography, purified protein complexes from cell cultures and tissue samples with ion exchange/affinity/SEC chromatography and AKTA FPLC system, and constructed hundreds of large synthetic operons containing as many as 10 genes using state-of-the-art tools in molecular biology. From 2005 to 2011, they were a Doctoral and Postdoctoral Trainee at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they engineered metabolic pathways in E. coli using the λ-Red recombination system.
Myat Lin earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Lafayette College between 2000 and 2004. Following this, they obtained a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2004 and 2010.
