We are looking for an Automation Technician who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining assigned equipment and ensure they are meeting facility production schedule.

In this role you will..

  • Assist with the preparation of material of equipment.
  • Manage and operate assigned equipment ensuring production demands are met including but not limited to:
  • Label applicator
  • Flower Bagging Machine
  • Pre Roll Machine
  • Record data and movement as needed; monitors computer interface while equipment is running.

  • Follow cleaning schedules assigned by the Manager ensuring cleanliness and good working order of equipment

  • Take inventory of all materials including materials, supplies, consumables, spare parts for equipment etc.

  • Set up, troubleshoot and perform routine and preventative maintenance on instruments; ability to resolve front line equipment challenges and escalate accordingly.

  • Actively participate in internal and external inspection and audits.

  • Obtains training and certification to utilize all equipment, and actively research ways for improvements.

  • Work cohesively with Packaging Supervisor & Operations Manager & VP Continuous Improvement , to develop and revise SOP’s.

  • Execution of packaging operations in accordance with all written SOP’s and in accordance to local and state regulations.

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures; ensure all quality standard are adhered to.

  • Collect, compile and report on production, product specific data, and ensure team is meeting their KPIs.

  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, enforce company policies and SOPs.

Skills and experience you have....

  • 2+ years of experience operating machines or mechanical equipment; High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn variety of systems.
  • Basic weights and measurement skills; ability to operate a scale.
  • Working knowledge of current safety protocols and experience working in a with machines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and efficient systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/ or holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.
