Dearbhla Hone is an experienced professional in international climate policy and governance. Currently serving as Senior Manager for COP27 engagement and liaison for the UN High-level climate champions team at C40 Cities since June 2022, Dearbhla has a strong background in climate initiatives, previously holding the position of Senior Policy Advisor in the COP26 unit at the Cabinet Office where Dearbhla specialized in Indonesia and ASEAN relations. Additionally, Dearbhla has worked at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, leading projects on Nationally Determined Contributions and international climate finance. Early career roles include Policy Officer at the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union and internships in various European and environmental organizations. Academically, Dearbhla holds a Master of Arts in European Union Politics and Governance from the College of Europe and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at Universidad de Sevilla.
