Ian Linney

Ian Linney has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Ian is currently the Director of Chemistry at C4X Discovery Ltd, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Research Leader at Charles River Laboratories from August 2018 to April 2021. Ian also worked as a Group Leader at Charles River from April 2008 to April 2021. Ian started their career as a Scientist at NCE (now Domainex) in January 2008. Earlier in their career, Ian was a Staff Scientist at the James Black Foundation from May 1995 to December 2007, where they conducted drug discovery research. Ian also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sandoz Institute for Medical Research from October 1993 to April 1995, where they focused on synthesis and route development.

Ian Linney attended the University of Bath from 1986 to 1990, earning a degree in Chemistry. Ian then pursued further education at the same university, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from 1990 to 1993.
