Daryl Soon

Daryl Soon is a skilled aviation professional with a diverse background in engineering and flight operations. Currently serving as a Strategic Collaboration Pilot at the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia since July 2020, Daryl also holds the position of First Officer at AirAsia since July 2019. Daryl's previous experience includes a role as a Technical Services Engineer for Flight Operations at AirAsia X, where responsibilities involved producing performance data and designing special take-off flight procedures. Daryl's early career included internships and trainee positions at Halliburton, Shell Oil Company, and Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd, focusing on technical services and engineering calculations. Daryl holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and a CPL/IR qualification from HM Aerospace Langkawi.
