Asif Haque has extensive work experience in the investment and pension industry. Asif is currently the Chief Investment Officer at CAAT Pension Plan, a position they have held since May 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Managing Director of Investments at the same company from June 2010 to May 2021. In addition to their work at CAAT Pension Plan, Asif has held various leadership roles in prominent organizations such as Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), Nunavut Tunngavik, Pension Investment Association of Canada, and United Church of Canada Pension Plan. Asif has also served as a board member for the Pension Investment Association of Canada and as a member of investment committees for the United Church of Canada Pension Plan and The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation. Earlier in their career, Asif worked at PSP Investments as a Vice President and Director, and at State Street as an Assistant Vice President.
Asif Haque obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University from 1989 to 1993. Asif continued their education at the University of Toronto, where they pursued a Master's degree in Economics from 1993 to 1994. Later, from 1998 to 2000, Asif Haque attended the CFA Institute and earned a CFA Charter.
