CAAT Pension Plan
Kevin Fahey, CFA has extensive work experience in the investment industry. Kevin started their career at Bank of Montreal as the Manager of Pension Investments from February 2004 to March 2009. Kevin then joined CAAT Pension Plan as the Managing Director, Private Markets in March 2009, where they were responsible for overseeing and providing strategic direction for their private market investment programs. From March 2009 to June 2010, they also had responsibilities for CAAT's public equity and fixed income portfolios. In 2018, they joined Teachers' Pension Plan Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador as an Independent Investment Committee Member.
Kevin Fahey, CFA has a diverse education history. Kevin obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance and Industrial Relations from Queen's University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Following that, they attended York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 1991 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Kevin furthered their education at the CFA Institute from 1999 to 2001, completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
In addition to their formal education, Kevin also holds several certifications from the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA). These include Level I certification from the ILPA Institute, as well as completion of various modules focusing on private equity investment documentation, portfolio management, LP roles and responsibilities, private equity managers, and the general partner framework for creating value. The exact dates of the certifications obtained are not provided.
