Ashish Aggarwal

Co-Founder & CEO at Caavo

Ashish Aggarwal is the co-founder and CEO of Caavo. Ashish was previously the founder of Violet3D, and held various roles at HARMAN International, including Senior Director.

Ashish started their career as an audio engineer, where they worked on developing new audio algorithms and designing audio systems. Ashish then moved on to the advanced technology group at HARMAN, where they worked on cutting edge silicon, hardware designs, and embedded operating systems. Ashish was also a member of the 'corporate technical counsel', a small group of deemed-visionaries charting the technical course of a large corporation.

In January 2008, Ashish founded Violet3D, the first completely wireless full 3D surround sound audio system that creates a virtual reality sound effect right in your living room. The unique smart-phone based calibration technology allows you to arbitrary place the speakers around you. There are no wires and no prefixed listening position and the system is smart enough to adapt to you and your room requirements. It sets up in 20 minutes.

In December 2015, Ashish left Violet3D to start Caavo, a company that is reinventing the TV experience with one simple remote and one central place to find all your content. Caavo launched its first product in 2017 and has since been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Engadget, CNET, and Gizmodo.

Ashish Aggarwal's educational career includes a BE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, and a Graduate degree in Business Administration and Management from UC Santa Barbara.

Some individuals on their team include Paul Knutson - VP, Customer Support, Roger Chung - VP, Finance, and Michelle Wright - Director, Marketing.
