Mª Mercedes Pérez Fernández is a seasoned laboratory specialist with extensive experience in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and advanced therapies. Currently serving as a Senior Laboratory Specialist at CABIMER since September 2020, Mª Mercedes has held various roles including Manufacturing Manager at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, where responsibilities included managing cell culture production under GMP regulations. Prior positions at CABIMER involved research in cell therapy for neuropathologies and the management of preclinical studies related to diabetes. Mª Mercedes has a solid academic foundation with a Master's degree in Biomedicine from Universidad de Cádiz, a Licentiate degree in Biology from Universidad de Murcia, and a Master's degree in the Manufacturing of Advanced Therapies from Universidad de Granada.
