Shavonn Harper

Shavonn Harper, PhD, CMPP, currently serves as a Senior Medical Writer at The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC since January 2022. Prior to this role, Shavonn held positions as a Medical Writer at Prime Global and as a Scientific Communications Manager at AlphaBioCom. Shavonn's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine, where research focused on GRK5 as an epigenetic modulator in cardiac hypertrophy, and earlier studies during doctoral education at the same institution on GDF11 and its role in pathological hypertrophy. Shavonn also has experience as a Supplemental Instructor and Teaching Assistant in biology and genetics, along with an internship at Merck studying the effects of bacterial toxins. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Science from Temple University and a B.S. in Biology and Media/Communications from Ursinus College.
