Dmitry Fomitchev

Dmitry Fomitchev is an accomplished R&D Manager at Cabot Corporation since January 2005, overseeing a team of five scientists focused on materials development for coatings, displays, and toners. Dmitry's expertise includes the creation of treated silicas and specialty carbon blacks. Previously, as Lead Scientist, Dmitry provided technical leadership and co-invented three key technology platforms in polymer and colloid chemistry. Dmitry has also held roles as Senior Scientist and Senior Chemist at Aspen Aerogels Inc., where major contributions included managing significant SBIR projects and developing innovative aerogel insulation materials. Dmitry holds a Ph.D. in Physical/Inorganic Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard University, and an M.S. in Chemistry from Moscow State University.
