Michael Renda

Michael Renda is an experienced professional in the banking and mortgage industries, currently serving as Assistant Vice President and Mortgage Underwriter II at Cadence Bank since December 2015. With a focus on construction and renovation underwriting, Michael collaborates with construction teams to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements and reviews condominium projects for investor guidelines. Prior to Cadence Bank, Michael held various roles at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, including Research/Remediation and Consumer Loan Underwriter, where responsibilities involved analysis of bankruptcy documents, resolution of escalated inquiries, and decision-making for mortgage loan modifications. Michael also has experience as a Real Estate Appraiser at Southern Mortgage Services, and in technical sales and other positions at Centimark and Tool-Smith. Michael holds an M.B.A. and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, along with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution.
