Alex Leigh

Alex Leigh is a Lead Design Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, with a rich background in electrical engineering education and digital hardware development. Previously, Alex served as a Sessional Instructor and Guest Lecturer at the University of Windsor, where curriculum development and student engagement were priorities. Experience includes working as a Digital Hardware Developer at the SHIELD Automotive Cybersecurity Centre, focusing on AI acceleration and cybersecurity encryption systems, and as an Analog and Mixed Signal IC Layout Designer, specializing in custom IC layouts. Academic achievements include a PhD and a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor, along with associate degrees in Music Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music.
