Daniel Borg

Daniel Borg is an experienced professional in the semiconductor and electronic design automation industry, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Viking Spirits, Inc. since April 2020 and holding multiple roles at Cadence Design Systems since January 2012, including AE Director and Application Engineer Architect. With a strong focus on advanced process nodes, Daniel has worked on both front-end and sign-off solutions up to 4nm, and has supported synthesis and DFT flows across various process technologies. Prior roles include significant positions at Synopsys and Extreme DA, where Daniel provided customer support for timing tools and statistical timing analysis. Daniel's foundational experience was established at Zarlink Semiconductor and Mitel Semiconductor, contributing to low power mixed-signal design and PDK development. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics from Mid Sweden University.
