Mumtaz Patel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Mumtaz currently works at Cadent Gas Limited as the Head of Operational Transition, a role they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Delivery Support Manager and the Head of Connections at Cadent Gas Limited. Mumtaz also worked as an Operations Interface Manager at the same company from June 2017 to December 2020.

Before joining Cadent Gas Limited, Mumtaz spent a significant part of their career at National Grid. At National Grid, they were a Performance and Assurance Manager from September 2015 to May 2017. Mumtaz also served as a Programme Management Specialist from June 2013 to September 2015 and as a Network Engineer from June 2012 to June 2013. Mumtaz started their career at National Grid as a Network Supervisor in April 2009 and held this role until June 2012.

Mumtaz Patel CEng MIMechE BA MSc MIGEM pursued a Master's degree in Construction Management from The University of Bolton, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Prior to this, Mumtaz attended Bolton College where they studied and obtained an ONC Business and Finance qualification, as well as an HNC Business and Finance qualification. Earlier, at Smithills School, Mumtaz acquired 9 GCSEs. Additionally, Mumtaz also studied Business Studies with a focus on Construction Management at The University of Bolton.
