Pankaj Sharma has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2007 as a Scientific Officer/C (Field Engineer) for Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. In this role, they managed field activities on the conventional side as Turbine engineer and Nuclear reactor side, and was able to diagnose a loss of 20 MW power due to malfunctioning system, resulting in a 9% increase in station power generation. Pankaj then moved to the role of Scientific Officer/D (Operations Engineer), where they monitored 1000+ critical parameters of the reactor core, radiation field, and conventional systems of the pressurized heavy water-based nuclear power plant in round-the-clock operations. In 2021, Pankaj Sharma began working as an Engineering Management Intern/Co-op at Katz Water Technologies, where they led a cross-functional team to design and build the electrical system including cabling and circuit layout of the patented sustainable water desalination system, created engineering drawings and ML-based simulations to improve overall system operations, implemented changes to equipment sourcing strategy and sourced critical components within budget, and generated $50K+ savings through developing strategic supplier partnerships and managing purchase negotiations. Pankaj also assisted leadership in projects including patent application filing, grant proposal submission, and business plan development for strategic product launch roadmap. Currently, Pankaj Sharma is working as an Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer for Cadenza Innovation, Inc.
Pankaj Sharma has a diverse educational background. Pankaj completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology in 2006. Following that, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Technology from Homi Bhabha Natioanal Institute Knowledge Management Group in Mumbai in 2007. Most recently, Pankaj Sharma is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration and MS in Digital Technologies from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
