Shane Stevens obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University, completing the program in 2003. Prior to that, they attended the University of Otago from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with First Class Honours in Information Science. Their education journey began at Gore High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1989 to 1993.
