Manuel Valdez, CFA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in debt capital markets and derivatives, currently serving as Director of Debt Capital Markets and Derivatives at CAF - banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe since January 2011. Valdez has also held various roles within the organization, including Head of Funding and Derivatives, and Finance Executive for International Bond Issues and Financial Policies. Prior to CAF, Valdez worked as a Project Consultant at Ageas, developing a project under the guidance of Academic Advisor Bruno Colmant, Ph.D., and served as a Financial Analyst at Telmex, where over 90 investment projects were evaluated. Additional experience includes a role as Assistant Relationship Manager at Standard Chartered Bank, preparing credit proposals and coordinating fund transfers. Valdez holds a Master's in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.
