Sophie Cappleman has extensive work experience in the field of policy and communications at Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service). Sophie started their career in 2015 as a Policy and Communications Manager, where they worked until 2019. Sophie then progressed to the role of Senior Policy and Communications Manager from August 2019 to February 2023. Currently, Sophie holds the position of Head of Complaints and Correspondence at Cafcass.

Sophie Cappleman completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and American Literature from The Manchester Metropolitan University, from 2006 to 2009. Sophie then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Policy from King's College London, from 2010 to 2012. After that, they attended BPP Law School from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law.
