Owen Davidoff

Owen Davidoff has a diverse range of work experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Owen has worked as a Partner Engineer at Caffeine since August 2021, where they are responsible for technical support for content partners and events, proposing solutions for real-time video transmission protocols, managing transmission pipelines, and working within the AWS ecosystem.

Prior to that, Owen worked at Verizon Media as a Live Streaming Engineer from January 2020 to July 2021. In this role, they managed the streaming of live content to Yahoo! Brand social channels, produced major live events for Verizon Media Studios brands, facilitated video/audio compression codecs and web streaming, and analyzed data and streaming analytics to tailor content to target audience demographics. Owen also worked as an Assistant Director, collaborating on celebrity interviews for the BUILD Series and assisting in the production transfer to a work-from-home environment during the pandemic.

Before their time at Verizon Media, Owen was a Broadcast Operator at Bloomberg LP from January 2017 to January 2019. Owen operated robotic cameras during live broadcasts in various regions, changed shots based on control room directions, and handled visual graphics using VizRT. Owen also served as a Master Control Operator, managing inbound and outbound transmissions, conducting check-ins with remote guests, operating audio/video routing systems, and ensuring smooth operation of broadcasts.

Owen's work experience also includes a role as a Video Logger at the United States Tennis Association from June 2016 to September 2017, where they supported the Video Editing team by collecting and aggregating data points for highlights and sizzle reels during the U.S. Open. Additionally, they worked as a Development Intern at Jarett Creative from August 2016 to December 2016.

Owen Davidoff has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Prior to this, they earned an Associate's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Nassau Community College. In addition to their degrees, Owen has also obtained certification in Bloomberg Market Concept from Bloomberg LP in January 2019.
