Tom Zeman, QCxP has a diverse range of work experience. Tom started their career as a Laboratory Technician at American Standard Circuits, Inc. in 2013 and 2014, where they prepared and evaluated metallographic cross section mounts of printed circuit boards. In 2015, they interned at the same company as an Engineering Intern.
Tom also worked as a Clean-Up Laborer at the City of Ames Resource Recovery Plant from 2015 to 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they returned to American Standard Circuits, Inc. as an Engineering Intern.
In 2017, Tom joined USG as a Project Engineer Co-op for eight months. Tom gained experience in design coordination and structural repairs during this role.
Tom continued their career at USG and held multiple roles from 2018 to 2022. Tom was a Project Engineer and assisted in new product production line design, installation coordination, and commissioning. Tom also served as a first line resource for co-op questions and documentation review. Additionally, they became a Production Manager, responsible for managing two mineral fiber cupolas and supervising production employees. Tom also served as an Environmental Coordinator, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental requirements.
Most recently, Tom worked at Target as an Engineering & Facilities Operations Manager from March 2022 to July 2022.
In July 2022, Tom joined CAI as a Validation Engineer.
Tom Zeman, QCxP pursued their education at Iowa State University from 2014 to 2018, where they focused on Chemical Engineering. During this time, they achieved a solid foundation in the field. Additionally, in February 2023, they obtained certification as a Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
