Rick Heffner

Rick Heffner has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rick started their career as a Senior Account Executive/Media Director at Cain & Company in 2010. In this role, they handled new business, managed accounts, and was involved in creative, strategic planning, PR, and media buying. Rick specialized in B2B and B2C markets, focusing on industries such as health, service, industrial, packaging, and food.

Rick also had experience as a drummer in the band Shuffle This since 2018 and previously in the Radio Stars from 2004 to 2016. Rick served as the Entertainment Chair for Festa Italiana (Rockford) from 2003 to 2020, managing the entertainment aspect of the event.

Prior to their roles in the music and entertainment industry, Rick worked as a Market Development Director at Forty Two Eighty Nine from 2008 to 2010. Rick was a National Account Manager at Rockford Register Star from 2006 to 2008, and a Senior Account Executive at Radio Works from 1997 to 2000.

Before joining Radio Works, Rick co-owned Heffner Hills Marketing, LLC from 2000 to 2005. In this role, they were responsible for acquiring and servicing advertising accounts, handling marketing/advertising plans for customers, and overseeing the intern program. Rick was also involved in media planning, media buying, PR, and script writing.

Rick Heffner attended Rockford Guilford High School from 1982 to 1985. After completing high school, they enrolled at Western Illinois University from 1985 to 1989. At the university, Rick pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on electronic media and communications.
