Clayton Grove

Clayton Grove is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Principal Exploration Geologist at Cairn Oil and Gas since August 2024, Clayton focuses on exploration activities in India. Previously, as Principal Geoscientist and Director at GERUK Ltd, Clayton provided consulting services on subsurface strategies, including technical work for licensing rounds and advising various industry stakeholders. Experience also includes roles as a Consultant Geologist at Vår Energi, where Clayton specialized in operations geology in the Barents Sea, and as a Senior Geoscientist at Siccar Point Energy, concentrating on exploration in the UK Continental Shelf. Clayton's career began at OMV as a Geologist, and earlier academic achievements include a PhD in Geology from Durham University.
