Hannah Grist

Hannah Grist currently serves as a Board Member for the Cairngorms National Park Authority, offering strategic oversight for the UK's largest national park. At SRUC, Hannah is a Lecturer in Socio-Environmental Systems and Deputy Director for the MSc Environmental Protection and Management program, focusing on diverse topics such as coastal ecology and interdisciplinary communication. Previous experience includes leading communications for the EU Horizon 2020 Blue-Action project at SAMS Research Services, coordinating the Capturing our Coast citizen science project at the Scottish Association for Marine Science, and engaging in science communication initiatives at Edinburgh Science and as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Hannah's early career involved positions at RSPB and the University of Aberdeen, where a PhD was completed in Ecology, following an MRes in Ecology & Environmental Management and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
