Ravy Por

Ravy Por is Executive Director and leader of the Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technologies at KPMG. She has over 10 years of experience in finance, innovation and data science, including artificial intelligence. She began her career in the actuary field before holding positions in data science, including as Senior Analyst, first in credit risk modelling at National Bank of Canada, then as a mathematician at Société des casinos du Québec. She then worked at Desjardins Group as Leader – Research and Development as well as Partnerships and Outreach, Advanced Analytics.

Very active in the community, Ms. Por is involved in various educational and technological initiatives as an innovation and artificial intelligence expert. She is also active in numerous community and cultural organizations. Since 2018, she has been a member of CIRANO’s Avant Garde classes.

She has received many honours in her career, including Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award in the Emerging Leaders category, Université de Montréal’s 2020 Prix de la relève, the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, the Women’s Leadership award from the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec (RJCCQ) and the Young women in Technology award by Generation W and the Women’s Y Foundation.

Ms. Por holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematical Sciences with a specialization in Actuarial Sciences from the Université de Montréal and certificates in project management and financial management from HEC Montréal. She also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
