Valerie Defournier-Smith

Valerie Defournier-Smith is a journalist and writer with extensive experience in various media roles, currently serving at Groupe Caisse des Dépôts as a journalist-redactor since April 2023, focusing on interviews with mayors and local elected officials in Nouvelle-Aquitaine for the Aquagir platform. In parallel, Valerie works with the ACP-UE CULTURE program as a journalist expert, where duties include drafting project sheets in both French and English. Valerie's previous engagements include independent journalism at Groupe Sud Ouest and Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, specializing in cultural reporting and social media interviews. Valerie's career also encompasses training in fact-checking for Angolan journalists and contributions to various publications on economic and cultural topics. Valerie holds a Master's degree in Journalism from ISFJ and a professional coaching degree from the Institut de Coaching International.
