Enric Fernández

Chief Economist, Head Of Strategic Planning And Research, Caixabank at CaixaBank

Enric Fernández has a strong background in economics and research. Enric began their career as a Lecturer at the University of Chicago in 1998. Enric then worked as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, they joined "la Caixa" Research as the Head of International Economics, where they managed a team of economists and analyzed global economic issues. Enric later became the Head of Economic Analysis at "la Caixa" Research before transitioning to CaixaBank as the Head of Bank Strategy at the Strategic Planning and Research Department. In this role, they coordinated the design and monitoring of the bank's strategic plan. Enric eventually became the Chief Economist and Head of Strategic Planning and Research at CaixaBank. In this position, they led the Strategic Planning and Research Department, which aimed to create and spread knowledge through economic research and analysis.

Enric Fernández completed a BA in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 1991 to 1995. Enric then pursued a PhD in Economics at the University of Chicago from 1995 to 2000. In 2010, they obtained a PDD in Management from IESE Business School.
