Jay, Tu The Hien

Jay, Tu The Hien has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jay, currently serves as the CTO at Cake by VPBank - Digital Bank, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, they held the same role at Be Group JSC from November 2020 to April 2022.

Before their role at Be Group JSC, Hien was the Head of Engineering at TEKO Việt Nam from May 2020 to November 2020. From August 2018 to May 2020, they worked as the Head of Engineering at Be Group JSC, where they played a crucial role in building the next Vietnamese super app.

Hien also has experience as the Head of Tech at Chợ Tốt, where they built and scaled the Vietnamese's largest online marketplace. Jay, served in this role from January 2018 to August 2018. Prior to that, they held various positions at Chợ Tốt, including Tech Director from January 2017 to January 2018 and Lead Architect from September 2015 to January 2017.

In addition to their work in Vietnam, Hien has international experience. Jay, worked as a Tech Lead and founding engineer at Skoolbo from September 2011 to September 2015, contributing to the development of the largest online education game. Jay, also worked as a Game Programmer at NUBEE PTE LTD from March 2011 to September 2011.

Hien began their career at Time Voyager Pte Ltd in August 2009, where they worked on a large-scale MMORPG title. Additionally, they gained experience as a Lab Teaching Assistant at the National University of Singapore from August 2008 to May 2009 and as a Research Assistant at NUS from August 2008 to April 2009.

Jay, Tu The Hien pursued their undergraduate studies from 2005 to 2009 at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In 2007-2008, they also briefly attended Uppsala University, although specific details regarding their degree or field of study during this period are not provided.

In addition to their formal education, Jay has obtained several certifications in the field of technology. In June 2018, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate through Amazon Web Services. During the same month, they also achieved the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect certification, granted by Google. Furthermore, in September 2017, Jay successfully obtained the CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from The Linux Foundation.
