Russell Monteath has extensive experience in management and service operations, currently serving as the Director of Commercial Services at Cal Poly Corporation since January 2012. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Dining Services, Catering Manager, and Multi Unit Manager in campus dining at Cal Poly. Previous experience includes General Manager at FMcLintocks Dining House and District Manager at Toyota Motor Corporation. Russell's earlier career includes an ADM position at Mervyns. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from UC Santa Barbara, and an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Cuesta College.

Cal Poly Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is one of 90 auxiliaries within the California State University system. In this capacity, the cal Poly Partners helps Cal Poly retain earnings, lessen risks, make investments, sell assets and hire employees. And we do all of this to help Cal Poly continually evolve as the world-class educational experience that it has come to be known. The corporation is 100 percent self-supporting and receives no state funding. Operating costs are covered by administrative fees charged to units the corporation supports.
