Project Engineer at Cal Solar

Gary Jaffe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gary started their career as a Crewmember at Wasterbusters in 2012. Gary then worked as a Rock Climbing event coordinator at California State University, Sacramento from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they also served as a Student Teacher and Researcher at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, where they tested and managed CASSANDRA as a database solution for flight logs and analyzed flight data using MatLab.

In 2014, Gary joined Sacramento County as an Engineering intern, where they performed land-use fee calculations and drafted contractual agreements. Gary also developed a program for third-party PACE lien providers, which was presented to the County's Board of Supervisors for approval.

In 2015, Gary worked as a Principal Investigator at the Program for Education and Research in Biotech at San Diego State University. Gary then joined American Building Supply as a CAD Designer in 2016, where they were involved in all aspects of wood door and aluminum frame production. Gary excelled in order processing, AutoCAD design requests, CNC router programming, and door assembly.

From 2016 to 2017, Gary worked at Lynn Safety as a CAD Drafter, and from 2017 to 2020, they served as a CAD Technologist at ENGEO. In 2020, they joined Sun Light & Power as a Project Engineer, and in 2022, they transitioned to Cal Solar Inc. as a Project Engineer.

Throughout their career, Gary has demonstrated strong technical skills, project management abilities, and a commitment to innovation and efficiency in various engineering roles.

Gary Jaffe completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, where they attended from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Sociology from Diablo Valley College from 2006 to 2011. Additionally, Gary Jaffe obtained the "40-Hour NABCEP Advanced PV Certification Training and CEUs" from HeatSpring in December 2021. In October 2016, they received the Engineer-In-Training certification from the State of California. Furthermore, in September 2014, Gary Jaffe achieved the CSWA Certified Solidworks Associate certification, although the institution from which it was obtained is unknown.
