Derek Olsen

Derek Olsen, CFA has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment management. Derek most recently served as SVP of Investment & Risk Management, Technology, and Operations at Calamos Investments. Prior to that, they held VP roles in Corporate Finance & Capital Management at CNA Insurance and Travelers. Earlier in their career, they worked at AIB as VP Chief Dealer Foreign Exchange and at UBS as AVP Senior Foreign Exchange Dealer.

Derek Olsen, CFA studied Business Economics at Brown University, receiving their Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. Derek then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Maryland from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Derek obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in 1997.
