Beryl Gilothwest has a diverse work experience. Beryl started their career as a Marketing Associate at Nurture Inc. in 2011 and worked there until October 2012. Beryl then became a Freelance Contributor for Art in America from March 2012 until September 2014. Beryl then joined Sharp Communications as a Social Media Account Executive from June 2013 until September 2014. In 2014, they joined McGraw-Hill Education as a Writer in the Art and Film department, where they worked until November 2016. Currently, Beryl is the Deputy Director of Research and Exhibitions at the Calder Foundation, a role they started in November 2016. In this position, they co-manage research, exhibitions, and external projects, and also handles rights and reproductions. Beryl is responsible for strategy and content development for the Foundation's website, social media channels, and digital projects.

Beryl Gilothwest attended Vassar College from 2007 to 2011 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History. In 2010, they also participated in the Vassar-Wesleyan in Paris Study Abroad Program at Université Paris Cité.
