Erin Johnston is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Master Teacher at the North Carolina Council on Economic Education since April 2022, Erin specializes in training professional educators on the NCDPI Economics & Personal Financial Literacy curriculum. Erin has been a full-time Social Studies and Behavioral Science Teacher at Caldwell County Schools since July 2001, creating lesson plans across various subjects including Psychology, World Cultures, and History. Additionally, Erin has a background as a Research Analyst at the Center for Creative Leadership and has coordinated educational programs at the All-Arts & Sciences Camp at UNC Greensboro. Erin's commitment to global education is demonstrated through participation in numerous international volunteer projects focused on economic education and community development. Erin holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and multiple master's degrees in Political Science and Economics.
