Jon Koop has over 34 years of work experience in various HR roles. Jon served as the Vice President, HR at Calfrac Well Services, where they were responsible for the development and implementation of training programs, leadership development, and overseeing HR functions. Prior to that, they were the Director of Human Resources at Trinidad Drilling Ltd, where they provided leadership and support to HR managers and managed the expatriate workforce. Jon also worked as an HR Manager at Ledcor, where they built strong relationships, provided leadership, and conducted harassment investigations. Additionally, Jon served as the LR Manager at JV Driver Projects Inc., overseeing recruitment, training, development, and labor relations. Jon began their career as a Business Agent at CLAC, negotiating collective agreements and handling grievance administration. Jon also worked for the Government of Alberta as a CSWIII.
Jon Koop has a diverse education history. Jon completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion at Taylor College and Seminary from 1981 to 1985. In 1998, they pursued further education and obtained a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Calgary, which they completed in the year 2000. Recently, from 2012 to 2014, Jon enrolled at the University of Fredericton, where they earned an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a specialization in Innovation Leadership.
