Iwona Auer

Iwona (Yvonna) Auer is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in hematopathology and related fields. Since 1997, Iwona has served as the Chair of the Lymphoproliferative Disorders Specialty Interest Group and Medical Director of the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at Calgary Laboratory Services. Iwona holds a Clinical Associate Professor position at the University of Calgary and coordinates the Hematopathology Training Program. Iwona is also a Consultant Pathologist at Tom Baker Cancer Center and has contributed as a Sessional Lecturer at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Iwona's leadership includes roles as Chair of the Hematologic and Bone Marrow Special Interest Group at Alberta Health Services and as an advisory committee member on laboratory accreditation. With a solid educational background, Iwona earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Calgary and a Fellowship in Hematopathology from The University of British Columbia.
