Manager, Public Safety at The Calgary Stampede

Bill Church has extensive experience in public safety and occupational health management, currently serving as the Manager of Public Safety and related roles at The Calgary Stampede since July 2008. In this capacity, Bill Church coordinates the Medical Services, Occupational Health and Safety, and Site Security teams, along with overseeing program development and administration. Additional roles include Environmental and Safety Services Manager, specializing in safety program development and incident investigation, and Special Projects Manager, focusing on land use and transportation infrastructure. Bill Church also has experience in roles such as Parking and Transportation Manager and Security Supervisor in various organizations, including the Calgary Flames and Alta Genetics Inc., where responsibilities ranged from security management to training on transportation legislation. Bill Church currently chairs the Amusement Rides Sub-Council with the Alberta Safety Codes Council. Bill Church holds a degree from the University of Alberta.
