Bret McDermott

Bret McDermott, CPA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, as well as accounting management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Financial Planning Analysis at Calibre Mining Corp since January 2022, Bret has successfully closed two corporate acquisitions and streamlined the forecasting process. Prior to this role, Bret held various positions, including Controller at Fiore Gold Ltd., where accounting records of six subsidiaries were converted, and at Midway Gold Corp., serving as Controller, Director of Financial Reporting, and Assistant Controller. Experience also includes roles at Bill Barrett Corporation and Deloitte & Touche as an Audit Senior, with an early career start as a Financial Analyst at Citywide Banks. Bret holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
