VP, Business Development at CALIBRE Systems

As CALIBRE’s Vice President of Business Development – Defense, Teresa Albo leads the growth organization with focus on activities across Defense Mission Systems and Enterprise Systems. Teresa also serves as a key leader in CALIBRE’s Corporate Leadership Team (CLT).

Prior to joining CALIBRE, Teresa served as the Director of Strategic Programs for Leidos as part of the Military and Veteran Health Solutions Operation within the Health Group. In this role, Teresa set strategy for growing business and worked with strategic program managers to deliver innovation on major programs, leveraging “outside the box” thinking to transform business solutions.

Teresa has over 30 years of experience as a leader, delivering results across Civilian, Defense, Intelligence and Health sectors for Federal Government and commercial clients. She is responsible for capturing over $8B in new business over the past 12 years and is a seasoned strategist, leader, program manager, business development and capture professional.

Teresa specializes in aligning business operations, technical competencies, and growth initiatives to deliver value to customers and shareholders alike. She works with key leaders and managers to develop high-performing teams that gain customer confidence and trust by meeting and exceeding commitments and expectations. She is an expert in the “Art of Capture”, leveraging proven methods and best practices to identify opportunities that match organizational core competencies, while addressing critical business and technical challenges, developing meaningful and productive customer relationships, and recruiting key talent to deliver best value solutions and proposals.

Key skills include strategy, effective leadership by embracing inclusion and diversity, developing highly effective communications plans, mentoring high-performing individuals and teams, engaging value-add team members, vendors and suppliers, and delivering compliant and compelling proposals.

Ms. Albo has also been instrumental and responsible for developing innovative employee incentive programs, instituting and delivering quality initiatives incorporating preventative and corrective action plans in a CMMI level 5 environment, instituting and maintaining agile business practices for development and maintenance of software solutions, developing Course Of Action (COA) plans to address major and high priority incidents to get programs and projects back on track, and managing best-in-class business development collateral to leverage for future business goals.
