William Graham Payne

William Graham Payne currently serves as the Director of Energy Transition at Caliche Development Partners, where responsibilities include managing CCS projects, overseeing subsurface characterization, and supporting business development efforts. Prior to this role, William worked at Battelle as a Geologist/Geomodeler, investigating potential CCS sites and building geologic models, earning an Outstanding Performance Award in May 2023. William also held positions as Head Distiller at William Price Distilling Company, Consultant Geologist at Projeo Corporation, and Geologist at Schlumberger, contributing to various carbon sequestration projects and evaluating geological opportunities. An academic foundation in geology was established at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where William earned a Master of Science degree, following a Bachelor of Science from Guilford College.
