Michael Costanzo

Michael Costanzo is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in law, security, and corporate risk management. Currently serving as General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the California Academy of Sciences since December 2011, Michael also holds the previous role of General Counsel and Director of Security at a renowned life sciences institute. Additionally, Michael operates a law practice established in 1996 and served as CEO of Energy & Natural Resource Security, Inc. from 2019 until December 2022. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a Police Officer for the City of Charleston from 2009 to 2012 and as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 2008. Michael holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago and a JD from American University Washington College of Law.
