Val Davis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in organic farm certification and sustainable food systems. Currently serving as a Senior Farm Certification Technical Specialist at CCOF since November 2011, Val supports certification staff in complex organic compliance decisions and enhances technical resources within the Farm Department. Previous roles at CCOF include Farm Certification Manager, Farm Certification Supervisor - Livestock Department, and Livestock Certification Specialist, focusing on team leadership, client service, and compliance with USDA standards. Val's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Community, Food and Agricultural Systems from Michigan State University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Agricultural Business from California State University, Chico. Additional experience includes research at Michigan State University and practical farm work at various agricultural operations.
