Nicholas Ortiz

Nicholas Ortiz began their career in 2005 as an Associate Director of Strategic Communications at Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Nicholas then worked as a Program Manager at United Way of Kern County, followed by a position as District Director at the Office of Assemblywoman Nicole M. Parra. Ortiz later joined the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce as a Governmental Affairs Manager before transitioning to Pacific Gas & Electric as a Local Area Manager in Government Relations. Nicholas then became a Manager of Production Regions at Western States Petroleum Association. Ortiz returned to the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce as the President and CEO and held this position until 2023. Nicholas is currently the Vice President of Local Chamber Relations at the California Chamber of Commerce.

Nicholas Ortiz obtained their B.A. in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in the years 2000-2004. Nicholas then pursued graduate level business courses at Saint Mary's College of California from 2004-2005.
