David E. Gonzalez

David E. Gonzalez is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in industrial design and consultancy. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member at the Lewis W. Butler Foundation since January 2022, Gonzalez also operates as a Design Consultant, providing expert mentoring, project management, and strategic guidance to clients. As an Associate Professor and Assistant Chair of the Industrial Design Program at California College of the Arts since January 2014, Gonzalez actively contributes to the education and development of emerging designers. Previous roles include Managing Partner and Creative Lead at SOZO Design LLC, Senior Designer at Astro Studios, and Designer at Barry Wingate Design Associates. Gonzalez holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from San José State University and an Associate of Arts in Technical Arts and Graphics from the College of San Mateo.
