Peter Stahl

Peter Stahl is an experienced design professional with extensive expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and usability strategy. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Interaction Design at California College of the Arts since August 2016, Peter teaches courses focused on systems thinking and behavior. Peter founded Peter Stahl Consulting, LLC, providing strategic design services to clients such as SurveyMonkey and Akamai Technologies from November 2008 to December 2022. Previous roles include Senior Designer at VMware and Staff Designer at Pivotal Software, where Peter contributed to user experience research and product strategy. As Lead User Experience Designer at Cisco, Peter led the development of design standards for a major services business, and at eBay, Peter spearheaded a design pattern initiative that greatly enhanced user experience for millions. Peter also served as Technical Editor for the sixth edition of a notable interaction design textbook. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Harvard University.
