Stephanie Mitchell

CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellow at California Council on Science and Technology (CCST)

Stephanie Mitchell currently serves as a Senior Consultant at the California State Assembly and holds the position of CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the California Council on Science and Technology. Previously, Stephanie was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology for nearly seven years, where involvement included leadership roles on the Student Board and Outreach Committee, contributing to community initiatives, and representing graduate students during NSF evaluations. Stephanie earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, where research focused on the effects of nanomaterials on bacteria, and also mentored undergraduate and graduate students. Prior experience includes roles as a Laboratory Assistant at Butler University and a science intern at AbbVie, along with tutoring high school students in chemistry.
