Christine Draa has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Christine began their career as a Consultant and Business Owner in 2000, operating their own consultancy until 2014. Christine then worked as a Lead Trainer and later as Manager of the Customer Solutions & Training Unit at the California Student Aid Commission in 2014 and 2015. Following this, they joined the Employment Development Department as a Health Services Manager in their Human Resource Services Division from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, they have been associated with the California Dental Association, where they have held various positions including Training Manager, Director of Learning & Development, Vice President of Organizational Development & Governance, and currently serves as the Chief People Officer. In their current role, they not only aligns people practices with business strategies but also provides oversight and leadership to the education and event teams.

Christine Draa attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1988 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Speech Communication with a focus on Organizational Development.

In terms of additional certifications, Christine obtained their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Certified Practitioner certification from The Myers & Briggs Foundation in September 2016. Christine also completed the Crucial Conversations Trainer and Trainer, Crucial Conversations programs offered by VitalSmarts in October 2016. Additionally, Christine obtained their Everything DiSC Workplace® Certification - Classroom from Everything DiSC® in June 2019. Most recently, they completed the Executive Development Program offered by the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership, but the specific month of completion is not provided.
