Callie W.

Callie W. currently serves as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since May 2020, following a role as a Public Rights Project & Justice Catalyst Legal Fellow at the Oakland City Attorney's Office from September 2018 to May 2020. Callie W. earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School between 2015 and 2018, during which time Callie W. was also a Summer Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in the summer of 2017. Previous experience includes an internship at the California Women's Law Center in 2016 and a position as Communications Director and Community Liaison for Assembly Member Daniel O'Donnell from November 2011 to July 2015. Callie W. also worked as Head Writing Fellow at the Barnard College Writing Center from September 2008 to May 2011, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Barnard College and completing high school at The Bush School.
