Jason Preece

Jason Preece, PG, CEG, CHg, currently serves as a Senior Engineering Geologist with the California Department of Water Resources, specializing in the Sustainable Groundwater Management Technical Assistance Program. Responsibilities include managing technical support for Groundwater Sustainability Agencies in California. Previous positions include Senior Hydrogeologist at Weiss Associates, Consulting Geologist, and Senior Engineering Geologist at ENGEO Incorporated, where Jason managed groundwater supply studies and environmental projects. Early career experience encompasses roles in environmental project management at CDM and foundational geotechnical work at Berlogar Geotechnical Consultants and Woodward Clyde Consultants. Jason holds a B.S. in Geology from San José State University and has contributed to the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists as the SF Chapter Chair.
