Nick Garcia

Nick Garcia currently serves as the Head of Network Operations at the California Department of Water Resources since March 2021, bringing extensive experience as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer. Prior to this role, Nick was Chief of Systems Engineering at the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection from September 2015 to March 2021, overseeing the CalFire Office of Enterprise Architecture and managing enterprise infrastructure security, operations, and performance. Nick's prior positions include Network Architect at the California State Lottery and Network Engineer at both the Franchise Tax Board and California DMV, showcasing a solid background in network engineering and system architecture. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from CSU Fresno, earned from 1984 to 1990.
